Abusimbel is a double world wonder. Built for Ramses to unite upper and
lower Egypt it is an impressive structure. When the High Dam was built Abusimbel was set
to be destroyed by the flood waters. Archeologists saved it by cutting the huge structure
in to moveable blocks and had them put back together on higher ground. |
